The Evangelical Lutheran Church in America has three expressions: congregations, synods, and churchwide, and this week in Chicago there is a churchwide assembly - the highest legislative body in our denomination. I plan to keep tabs on what's going on, both in terms of worship, education, and assembly action, through the assembly website.
